It’s been a bit frantic the last couple of days. A lot of things have happened with the Shadowfax project and also excitement is building ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s Japanese GP at Motegi. Stoner has just put the Honda on pole for the 10th time so far this year, looking awesomely faster than the rest of the pack. Damian Cudlin’s guest ride on the PRAMAC Ducati has been hard, qualifying next to last nearly 4 seconds off Stoner’s pace. But, with a new bike and new track to learn, his goals are realistic. Stay on and finish and attract the right sort of attention.
Carlos Checa should be crowned WSBK World Champion tomorrow night after snatching provisional pole last night. Max Biaggi has elected to sit out the meeting with his ankle injury still not healed enough and this decision will surely aid Checa’s cause. Jedd Metcher is down in 10th in SS600 while Broc Parkes is 2nd in Supersport, albeit 6 tenths behind Roccoli.
In other good news, Leigh Adams has left hospital to being his long recovery from the shocking injuries he received in the practice for the Finke Desert race. Despite being almost incapacitated, Adams remains positive and is talking of a full recovery. What a champion.
Visordown has reported that the latest episode of Mythbusters has shown that bikes are more economical than cars but cars are greener. D’uh, no surprise there. Cars have heaps more room on them to fit all the anti-pollution gear that is needed to tame their emissions. Here’s the link to the full article.
I’ll update the Shadowfax restoration project page tonight. Lots of exciting news there.
